S.K. Asante is a UK-based author, podcaster, and maker of practical tools for focused, sustainable living. After a long stretch of operational practice — work that demanded both careful attention to evidence and a steady tolerance for ordinary human limits — Asante began writing essays for friends, then planners that the friends asked to keep, then the fiction that had been quietly accumulating in the background.
The result is Cypress Quill Media: a small, deliberately calm publishing project that pairs serious science with serious storytelling. The non-fiction work covers sleep, focus, nutrition, habits, behaviour change, systems thinking, and creative practice. The fiction, published under the Cypress Quill Press imprint, takes the form of psychological thrillers and literary novels that try to earn their tension through patience and detail. The podcast, The Quiet Office, runs compact episodes that prefer texture and clarity over heroics. The digital tools — planners, templates, frameworks — are designed for steady work over months and years, not productivity theatre.
Asante's first novel, Compliance, is the opening title in the Quiet Office series of techno-thrillers grounded in real-world institutions and the moral weight of careful people doing the right thing. It is scheduled for publication in autumn 2026.
The voice across the catalogue is the same: science where it earns its place, stories where they make a thing real, tools that make ordinary days a little more workable. The intended reader is an adult who wants careful, calm guidance on focus, sleep, and creative life — and is sceptical of hustle culture, big claims, and easy answers.
Asante writes from the United Kingdom for an international audience and is available for interviews, essays, and selected speaking engagements.
